1988 5X7 matted to 8X10 of Patrick Swayze using Venus Paradise Photo Brown #10 on light peach colored paper, taken from the cover of a magazine.

1960 5X7 of Suzanne Pleshette using black & white pencil on an almost clear paper over black paper

1957 8X10 Susan Hayward 8X10 using a black 2B pencil. I made this one for my mother who died from cancer when she was only thirty two years old, so this picture is very special to me. I have two more Hayward pictures I may add.

Susan Hayward after scanning the above drawing into Photo Styler 2.0 and turning the old black & white into color.

All the portraits here were done using colored pencils or pen & ink with soft pastels. I prefer Venus Paradise Photo Brown #10 but they don't make them anymore so now I use mostly Prismacolor colored pencils, soft pastels and ink. For the artwork on this site I used photos from newspapers or magazines. Some of my work is very old, Susan Hayward for example was done in 1957 for my mother when I was thirteen. She had cancer and wanted a picture of Susan Hayward and Robert Mitchum her two favorite movie stars. She died when she was only thirty two so this drawing is very special to me. The rest of my work was done prior to 1998 when I stopped doing all my artwork to fight my own battle with cancer. I have just started back to work on my portrait artwork and sculpting from polymer clay. I will be adding some new photos soon as well as some of my sculptures. I hope you enjoy my work and come back soon. For any information on any of my work you can email me.
